Day 1
Left Brightlingsea, just gone past Clacton and Felixstowe!
Rather choppy, one been sick, a few feeling sick.
Day 2
Today was really fun because we go to got out on Charles (little boat) and see all of the seals. It was really cute. When we stopped at the beach we found really cool shells and some crabs. -Summer
The nights sleep was different because you had some people who were shouting in their sleep and on the other hand you had people who were quiet -Angel
We went ashore for a swim and it was great, even if the water was very cold! – Chris
After whinging for 2 days I got to have a swim it was bare cold – Bobby
Day 3
Today after laying over in Buttermans Bay near Pinmill for the night, we set sail for the day. We sailed passed Felixstowe and Clacton , Our 2 teams Port and Starboard helped Pioneer’s 3 crew, Skipper Cyril , Josh and Josephine with hoisting the 3 sails, and other ships duties throughout the day. We were taught how to make various knots used onboard, sang songs and listened to some very bad jokes told by Josh!
We arrived in Pyefleet Brightlingsea and dropped anchor for the night. We had burgers, sausages for dinner and then took a short ride in Charles (our small boat) to shore for a run around on dry land to stretch our legs after a long days sailing.
Day 4
Our last day, the sun was shining, the boat was calmly sailing along the river Colne back to Brightlingsea. Oyster dredging, finding starfish , oysters, shrimps anemones crabs but alas no pearls.
Team work, scrubbing the decks, cleaning the boat getting ready to return home. Overall a great experience was had by all!
