We are pleased to join in other ADHD organisations across the world as we celebrate ADHD Awareness month.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects people’s behaviour. People with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse. Symptoms of ADHD tend to be noticed at an early age and may become more noticeable when a child’s circumstances change, such as when they start school.
However, in the UK and Europe, around 90% of adults with ADHD are undiagnosed, especially girls and women. In England only 0.35% of girls and 1.5% of boys are receiving treatment, compared with a global average of 5.3% of children. As part of the month we are focusing on events, drop-ins and education about ADHD.

A Space for Parents is our blog providing articles, stories and information that is relevant to parent carers. These blogs cover real-life stories as well as professional advice. During ADHD Awareness month there will be a new covering the experiences of caring for a child with ADHD.

Time Out - ADHD Programme
Time Out is a 4-week Support Programme for those caring for a child with ADHD. This will provide a space for you to support and encourage others, and much more!
