Young Carers review – Online Wellbeing Resources for Young People

Self-care is about the things we can do to look after our own mental health

The Anna Freud Website shares strategies to help you to manage your wellbeing. It’s up to you to decide what helps. If it works, keep doing it. If it doesn’t, stop and try something else.

What we liked about the site:

It includes a range of text, images and videos to help explain the different self-help strategies which helps keep you interested.

It acknowledges we are not all the same so what works for one person won’t necessarily work for someone else

There isn’t much academic research in the area of self-care for young people. You have the option to feedback to the site creators and be part of future learning

Introduces some new strategies such as Colour Therapy. Never heard of it before so made for interesting reading

Good to read positive stuff about coding and gaming.

What we didn’t like:

Still LOTS of reading. Could you say the same with less words?

My Self Care Plan Secondary is a useful download. Would be great if could be editable online. Who has a printer?

Leaving so soon?

We hope you found what you were looking for, however,
if you didn’t we’d like to still offer you some support.
Please let us know how we can help.
