On 11th March Rachel visited Dell Primary School to raise awareness around Young Carer Action Day. During the session the children were able to develop their understanding around what It is and why some young carers may feel Isolated. The group were able to think of different ways young carers could keep themselves positive and busy to stop them feeling this way. The young carers then created posters which will be used to promote YCAD.
During the week of YCAD Suffolk Family Carers will be visiting Schools to raise awareness, to fit in with the theme of “Isolation” the young carers will be making self-care bags on the bus and will have the opportunity to talk to an adviser.
