We were so blown away with all the extra support our schools and colleges put into for Young Carers Action week. There were so many to document but below are some of the great events held by schools.
Thomas Gainsborough School – Sudbury
Our young carer leads at TGS held a whopping Cake Sale during YCAD week! A big thank-you to all who contributed and took their time to support on the day and to our leads who helped to put on the event. The cakes which were donated were done to an incredible standard, well done everyone!
Mildenhall College Academy
Thank-you to Mildenhall College Academy who also put on a cake sale in aid of young carers during YCAD week. We are impressed with the solo planning of this event and look forward to working with you to plan an end of term treat for young carers!
Samuel Ward Academy
Samuel Ward Academy held a cake sale during YCAD Week and had the pleasure of a visit from our SFC Motorhome. A big thank-you to our young carer for helping out on the day and donating some delicious cakes and to our young carers lead who took their time to help make it all happen.
Westley Middle School
Westley Middle raised money for young carers with a non-uniform day which paid for the school and SFC to take students to Thorpe Woodlands. We also celebrated YCAD with a lunch drop in with crafts and treats.
A big thank-you to our bus driver Peter for getting us around Suffolk during YCAD week. Your patience and company have been a pleasure to be around
