Relaunch of closed Facebook group as “Care to Chat”

We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our closed Facebook group dedicated to unpaid family carers! The group is also being rebranded to align with our digital family carer chat groups and will now be called “Care to Chat – Peer Support Group”. This group is designed to provide a safe and supportive space where family carers can connect, share experiences, access valuable information and create a community

Why Join Our Group?

Being a family carer can be incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with its unique set of challenges. Our Facebook group aims to offer peer support and a sense of community, allowing carers to:

  • Connect and Chat: Engage with fellow carers, share your stories, and offer support to one another by sharing experiences.
  • Access Information: Stay informed with the latest resources, tips, and information specifically for family carers.
  • Special Events: Participate in exclusive events such as “Chat with an Advisor” sessions, NHS App training, and much more.

Upcoming Events

We have an exciting lineup of special events in development to help you make the most of your membership of this group. These include

  • Chat with an Advisor: Get personalised advice and support from experienced advisors who understand the challenges you face.
  • NHS App Training: Learn how to navigate and utilise the NHS App to manage appointments, access health records, and more.
  • And Much More: Stay tuned for additional events and activities designed to support and empower you as a family carer.

How to Join

Joining our group is simple and secure. As a closed group, we prioritise your privacy and ensure that only family carers registered with Suffolk Family Carers can access the content and participate. To join, simply search for Care to Chat Peer Support Group – SFC on Facebook and request to join. Once approved, you’ll be welcomed into a community of like-minded individuals who are here to support you every step of the way. The group will be moderated.

We look forward to seeing you in the group and embarking on this journey together. Let’s create a supportive and empowering community for all family carers!
