No. Suffolk County Council (SCC) has made a change to how you access your carers’ assessment review. Previously, you would receive a phone call/letter from Suffolk County Council to advise you the review was due. Suffolk County Council would then complete the review internally or send to a trusted partner organisation such as Suffolk Family Carers to complete with you.
The new approach is to place the ownership with you. After an assessment you will be sent a letter with the earliest date your carers assessment review can be done (12 months after your last assessment). Once you have received this it is a good idea to put this date on your calendar to remind you.
When this review date arrives, you will have two choices; You can go online and compete the online self-assessment which will start your review process or, if you feel you are unable to complete an online self-assessment, you can contact customer first to request your review.
Should you choose to complete the online self-assessment, you can, in your own time, tell SCC how things have been since your last assessment, how you are coping, if the support you received from your last assessment has helped, the details of any further support you have put in place, and any new challenges you are facing.
