May Half Term 2021

Wow, where did the half term go?  It just flew by for us here at the young carers team.

We had such a fantastic time seeing so many of our young carers across the county taking part in a variety of activities we were fortunate to be able to host for you.

Activities included:
– Crabbing at Walberwick
– Toboganning and Ringo’s in Ipswich

After the Ringo’s
‘Aww thank you so much. She absolutely loved it. She was so anxious beforehand and was saying she didn’t want to go but then did not stop talking about it after :)’

Forest adventures at Nowton Park

Text received from parent after Nowton Park, her son had been struggling with anxiety and going out the house and felt nervous about coming to activities again after so long at home. ‘Thanks so much to you guys for this morning. J had a great time and I love the bits he made and brought home. I loved watching them all playing around the parachute at the end – so lovely ‘

Girl Group Meet-up
‘I thought you might like to know me and another young carer have been talking outside of the group, I have made a new friend which works nicely with the girl group topic of friendships. We facetimed all of Saturday I am so glad I got to go to the girls group and meet her’.

  • YC Peer Leader introductory meeting
  • Bolters War Hammer group

We hold lots of activities for our young carers, especially in school holidays. Keep an eye out on our events calendar to find out what’s coming up.

Leaving so soon?

We hope you found what you were looking for, however,
if you didn’t we’d like to still offer you some support.
