- Look after your physical health –
- Get more sleep, it’s important. Turning your phone off at night can create a relaxed environment.
- Try to be more active, take your frustrations out in a physical way: a walk, run or play sport
- Eat a healthier diet, it will make you feel better.
- Give yourself a break:
- Forgive yourself, we all make mistakes, nobody is perfect (honest).
- Be more proud of your achievements.
- Resolve conflicts with friends and family, it might be hard but it will make you feel better.
- Have a change of scenery; go to a friends, get outside to the park or garden.
- Plan some time with friends – Having fun is important.
- Find out what you like to do with your spare time and spend time doing it.
- Learn to relax; from breathing exercises to colouring in. Find out what calms you and use it when you are stressed.
- Use your support network –
- Friends and family – talk to someone you trust. They may not have the answers but they can listen.
- Support at school – a teacher or member of staff you feel comfortable with and chat to them, or a school nurse, counsellor or peer mentor that you can chat too.
