Lowestoft Locality Network Meeting

Thank you to those schools who came along to our Lowestoft Locality Network meeting today.

The Agenda covered our Schools Award update, Young Carer Menu of Support and Wellbeing programmes available to young carers.

We welcomed sharing of best practise from schools who have achieved the Gold standard of our award. Their experience was very informative for schools who are new to our service.

“Young carers were previously a hidden group.  We started with 3 known young carers and we now have 34. The SFC professionals guide you through their award, step by step through the process so you don’t miss anything”. (YC Lead.  Kessingland Primary School)

All attendees have requested the Network meeting becomes a regular occurrence so a date for the Autumn term is to be decided in due course.  Should you be interested in attending but are unsure that your school is in regular communication with our service, please do contact us so we can ensure you receive an invitation.

Network meetings in the West and Central Suffolk localities are in the planning stages with dates to be released within the Autumn term. Any schools wishing to host the meeting, please let us know.

Leaving so soon?

We hope you found what you were looking for, however,
if you didn’t we’d like to still offer you some support.
Please let us know how we can help.
