“I Have a Dream that a Post-Covid World will…” Great Get Together Campaign 2020.
For the past three years Northgate has held a Community Day for the school and Ipswich community to come together to commemorate the life of Jo Cox and what she stood for, in a shared desire to promote respect, kindness, equity and understanding in our society as well as to showcase and celebrate work where this happens, and is supported.
Although we cannot get together at school this year, we want to still connect together for good and show solidarity with those making a stand against prejudice and racism is our society by using one of the most famous phrases in African-American history spoken by the American civil rights activist, Martin Luther King Jr.
Your message could be in the form of a poem, quote, video (no more than 1 minute long please) photo or artwork which includes the phrase
“I have a dream that a post-Covid world will…”
Your response will form part of a compilation of contributions and shared on the school’s social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and twitter on Friday 19th June. Including your name/organisation in your message is welcomed but optional. By submitting your contribution, you are giving us permission to share via the internet.
