I Am a Superhero
Who is your favourite superhero?
Why are they your favourite?
What qualities do they have that you admire?
What different poses can you do to show you are brave, strong, and independent? Can you think of some of your own? Ask family members to try and guess what poses you are displaying.
What is your superhero name?
Can you draw yourself as a superhero?
Spider senses- It’s time to switch on your “Spidey senses”. These are your super-focused senses of smell, sight, hearing, taste, and touch that Spiderman uses to keep tabs on the world around him. This will encourage you to pause and focus their attention on the here and now.
Sit somewhere quiet and close your eyes. List 5 things:
You can hear, smell, taste and touch. Open your eyes, list 5 things you can see.
This exercise and encourages observation and curiosity—great skills for any superhero to practice.
Superhero cape-Make a cape out of wallpaper/newspaper/pillowcase (check with an adult before using). Ask family to write on the cape what they think your positive superpowers are. Remember, being a superhero is not just about strength, your talents may include being kind, helpful, sharing with others.
Read aloud what they have written and remember the words. Your superhero powers will be stronger the more often you remind yourself what they are.
