Film Challenge

This activity is designed to support the ‘Meaning & Purpose’ emotional need.

Over the next few weeks how about taking part in our film challenge. You may be able to watch films you have never seen, compete against other young carers, and collect points for prizes when we start clubs etc again.

The idea is each week we will set you a number of challenges and you then have to watch films which relate to these, each challenge gives you points, i.e a film about planes for 10 points, could be Top Gun, or the pixar film Planes. You can watch as many films as you like so if you wanted to watch 5 films with planes in you would get 50 points.

Sounds easy!!!!!

But there is an extra challenge, 1) all films for each week are from a certain decade i.e 1980’s, 2) if you watch a film which contain all the weekly challenges you get extra points.

Week 1 – 1980’s

  • The film has animals in that talk
  • It is filmed in Black and White
  • The film is about a group of children
  • Has Pizza in it

Week 2 – 1990’s

  • It’s an animation
  • The lead characters travel in/on 3 different forms of transport
  • Female lead actor
  • Has aliens in

Week 3 – 2000 – 2010

  • An animal is the lead character
  • Set underwater or in space
  • Has pirates in
  • Child lead actor/actress

Week 4 – 2010 onwards

  • The main character is the villain
  • A different language is spoken for some or all the film
  • It’s about Superhero’s
  • Has animals in

Points

  • 10 points for one of the challenges in the same film
  • 25 points for two in the same film
  • 60 Points for 3
  • 120 points for all 4

All you need to do now, is look at the decade for each week, pick films, and keep score. At the end of the week, direct message us on Instagram, with the films you have watched and the points you have scored.  I will post the top 5 each week (you can have a nickname if you don’t want everyone to know who it is), and after the 4 weeks the top three will get a prize.

So take care, enjoy the challenges, and look forward to hearing your results.

Leaving so soon?

We hope you found what you were looking for, however,
