Should your busy schedule as a family carer mean the person you care for completely runs out of a medication you can request a limited emergency supply from NHS 111 via the NHS App. This must be a medicine that is prescribed regularly through a repeat prescription.

Please note: – To use the NHS App to manage the healthcare of the person you care for both you and the person you care for need to be registered at the same GP Surgery, and you will need to ask your GP to give you access to their records. The features available within the NHS App may be different for different GP surgeries as each is able to choose how they would like their patients to us it. You can ask to be linked to more than one person.
