East Coast College, Lowestoft Campus has been awarded Bronze in Suffolk Family Carers’ College Award Scheme.
This award was presented to Karen Lawless (Wellbeing Co-ordinator) and Connor (Young Carers Ambassador) to recognise the dedication of the Wellbeing Team in identifying, and supporting Young Adult Carers within the college so far this academic year. This support has included offering 1-1’s and drop in sessions with Alex Brentnall from Suffolk Family Carers, as well as enabling flexibility with meeting the individual needs of students balancing their caring role and education.
