The team at Suffolk Archives were coordinating a community art installation to go alongside their exhibition ‘Anchors Away: Suffolk and the Sea’ at The Hold in Ipswich this summer.
They asked local groups, individuals, and organisations to create a collection of vibrant and colourful fish to represent Suffolk’s deep connection to the sea.
When we heard about this, we thought it would be great to get some of our young carers and their families involved.
We were given some wooden templates of fish and asked if we could decorate them however, we wished.
Our young carers and families from the Saxmundham, Leiston, Felixstowe and Ipswich areas took part in the massive job of decorating the fish given to us, and what a wonderful job they did
