Young Carers action Day 2023 once more became Young Carers action week at Suffolk Family Carers.
Primary Schools could utilise the Resources pack we designed and shared with them which included activity ideas, videos, and reading suggestions

We were very pleased with feedback linked to our Info slides we created in partnership with Young carers at East Bergholt High school. In response to suggestions, the slides have now been created into downloadable posters for you to use

We were welcomed at High Schools and Further Education settings across the county who wanted to maximise the opportunity to celebrate and raise awareness of Young Carers and Young Adult Carers. In total we met with over 160 pupils during the week.

The March edition of Debenham High’s Aspire magazine to see how they celebrated YCAD 23 with us.
Claydon High school joined us in welcoming Councillor Reeder (Cabinet Member of CYPS for SCC) to a school Assembly and then meeting with some Young carers afterwards;
‘Thank you very much indeed for organising my visit to Claydon High School yesterday – great to see all the students in the assembly so engaged. It was particularly informative and reassuring that the three Carers I met felt so well supported and how the school have allocated resources to supporting their young carers.’
