East Bergholt High School Achieves BRONZE

Congratulations to East Bergholt High School who have achieved their Bronze level for our Caring for Carers schools award. Mrs Johnson, Young Carers Lead, has work tremendously hard with the students at EBHS alongside Suffolk Family Carers and has done a terrific job at identifying young carers and raising awareness within the school.

As well as working hard to raise the profile of young carers within EBHS, young carers at EBHS have also been co-producing materials which have been used externally, specifically linked to young carers action day. Students designed and co-produced social media tiles which have been displayed in schools, colleges and GP practices to help identify young carers across Suffolk.

We’d like to take the time to thank Mrs Johnson and the students at East Bergholt High School for continuously showing gratitude and courtesy towards their young carers. We have been extremely impressed with the effort that has gone into achieving the award in such a short amount of time and no doubt see Silver becoming the new Bronze very soon!
