La-Da-Da-Dah…..!!
Hi one and all. So how you all keeping? I know it’s been a while since I have talked or seen you all, and that clubs & activities seem to be something of a distant memory. But fear not, we will be back! I don’t know when, but when we are I will let you all know.
I would like to speak directly to all those young carers that come to the 13+ Ipswich Club, the Ipswich Juniors club, and any other young carer that I support, whether they got to a different club or not.
I honestly miss you lot.
So let’s make what is happening a turning point. When things get easier, when you can run up to your best friend and give them a hug or high-five (if you are not a huggy person), when you can walk around Tesco’s whichever way you want, when you wake up and look forward to going to school, let’s not fall back to how things use to be.
When this happens, let’s learn from these times. I can make sure that the clubs I run, are accessible even if you can’t physically be there, I will make sure I am more flexible about how I keep in contact with you all – if not at school we can video chat for instance.
With that in mind, you all need to be proactive too. If you know you are coming to something find out what it is, if you are not enjoying club let me know – I can’t change if I don’t know what needs changing, if you want to be more involved – great, I can always find things for you to do, and you need to chat/worried/need help – speak to me. I am not perfect, but I will always try my best.
Hopefully that’s sounds good to you all. Let’s make 2020 a year to remember, for the right reasons, and not just because we spent months in lockdown.
Take care and see you all soon in the Next Episode.
