One of the first plants to provide bees with food in the spring is the dandelion. It is also the official flower of armed forces children.
The plant puts down roots almost anywhere, just ask a gardener! The dandelion is resilient, and survives in a broad range of climates.
April is the month of the military child and we are creating an online gallery of photographs, poetry, drawings and paintings of dandelions to celebrate this.
We would like to ask for your help in celebrating this. It may also help to keep you and your family busy during lockdown. When you are out on a walk and you spot a dandelion, take a picture and send it to us marketing@suffolkfamilycarers.org.
The photographs and artwork will be used when we launch our exciting new Military Families Project in September 2020!!
You don’t have to belong to a military family to join in, everyone is welcome!!
