Suffolk All Age Carers Strategy Plan

Are you looking after someone who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or addiction, and cannot cope without your support? If so, you are a family carer.

The Suffolk Family Carers Partnership Board, along with partners, are co-producing the initial stage of the first Suffolk All Age Carers Strategy 2022-  .

To inform this, we will initially have online focus groups to discuss:

  • What you thought of the previous strategy priorities.
  • What you see as future priorities to support you.
  • What you think needs to happen to achieve these priorities so that you receive the service that you want and need?
  • What questions do you think would be useful to help find out other carers’ views? For both over 18 and under 18 carers.
  • All of this will contribute to the future development of the Suffolk All Age Carers Strategy and Action Plan.

The dates for the initial online focus groups will be:

  • Monday 21st February 2022 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm Social, public and private sectors.
  • Tuesday 22nd February 2022 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm Adult carers, including long term health needs, Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism, Dementia, Parent Carers.
  • Wednesday 23rd February 2022 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm: Young Carers under18

Note:

You only need to attend one of the groups.
The groups on 22nd and 23rd are for carers only, to give carers the opportunity to share their thoughts.
Other organisations and professionals should only attend the session on the 21st.
