OUR inspirational CEO, Kirsten Alderson, is to be the keynote speaker at a special event designed to inspire the region’s female pupils.
On Wednesday 11th March, Kirsten will give an opening address at the ‘Liberate and Educate: Inspirational Women’ day, which is being staged at the University of Suffolk.
Some 120 year 10 pupils from across Suffolk are set to attend, taking part in a variety of workshops focused on opportunities and career pathways.
Speaking about her selection as the keynote speaker, Kirsten said: “I am really delighted to be asked to contribute to this special event.
“It’s really important that young women across the county go through their school lives knowing the wealth of opportunities which are available to them, and that they hear from a variety of other females about experiences in the workplace – both good and bad.
“I have been extremely fortunate throughout my career to work with some wonderfully inspirational women, and I hope I’ll be able to pass on some valuable insight.”
The event at University of Suffolk will fall three days after this year’s International Women’s Day and is being organised by the institution’s Higher Education Champions.
