‘Time Out Together’ at Museum of East Anglian Life

Our Serving Suffolk Families Past and Present Team are so excited since finding out that they have been awarded additional funding from The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to deliver a a time limited project,  ‘Time Out Together’.

This new project allows them to bring family together carers from the UK Armed Forces Community with those in wider communities to share a range of respite and ‘time out’ activities, and to build supportive networks.

The team have many plans based on feedback they have received in the past, but on 6th April they visited our friends at Museum of East Anglian Life to get a flavour of what might be on offer to help support this new project as our two organisations build on existing relationships

Whilst there Darren kindly drove them  around in the buggy, making a  whistle-stop tour of the site and the various  activities on offer, ranging from the animals to the walled garden and of course fleeting glimpses of machinery and equipment.

Our plan is to offer similar to Family Carers, but of course these will be at your own pace and you will be able to take a picnic with you to spend the whole day if you choose.

Keep an eye out  for further details, coming in the next couple of weeks under the ‘Time Out Together’ heading.

Leaving so soon?

We hope you found what you were looking for, however,
if you didn’t we’d like to still offer you some support.
Please let us know how we can help.
