On 1st September 2024 Lowestoft Young Carers were kindly taken to a Funday which was funded by Lowestoft Lions.
The day started by the children getting picked up from Carlton Colville so we could all travel together on the minibus. We went to Great Yarmouth racecourse where we watched entertainment, the children got involved in a magic, puppet show and also circus skills. We then jumped back on the mini bus where we were taken to Thrigby Wildlife Park. We explored the park as a group and we spotted tigers, snow leopards and lots of other animals throughout which the children loved looking at.
When asking the children what their favourite part of the day was 3 of them said “EVERYTHING”.
Once again we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at the Lowestoft Lions for funding the day out for the young carers and providing the opportunity to them for having respite away from their caring role.
