Our holiday home near the beach
Millicent, our caravan new in 2022 is now available to family carers and their family to take a short break. Located at Parkdean Resorts award winning Kessingland Beach Holiday Park in Suffolk Millicent sleeps 6 and is ideal for taking a short break.
Available FREE to reserve for family carers with a genuine need Millicent is wheelchair accessible and equipped with an overhead lifting pole, 4 single beds and one pull out double bed. (Please note we do not provide linen).
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils you need with the living room containing TV, DVD and board games for any time spent inside.
*Although your stay is free of charge we do suggest a minimum donation of £50 is made to Suffolk Family Carers.
Kessingland Beach holiday park has direct access to the unspoilt beach and is the perfect spot for relaxing, long walks, sunbathing or splashing about.
Swimmers will be in their element with indoor and outdoor pools. Or, if you’re looking for a more relaxing time take a quiet stroll by the lake. Kids will have tons of fun in the adventure playground and on the all-weather multi sports court.
Nearby you’ll find plenty of attractions, from the fascinating Africa Alive wildlife park to the regal splendour of Somerleyton Hall & Gardens.

Availability & Your Stay
Millicent is available 9 months of the year. Although we do not provide bed linen or towels everything else you may need for a fantastic stay on the north Suffolk Coast can be found inside
Weekend stays commence on a Friday, with your departure being Monday. Midweek stays commence on a Monday with your departure being Friday. We regret we are unable to offer alternative durations or start days.
Keys will be available from 4pm on the day of your arrival and we kindly request that you vacate by 10:30am on the day of your departure.
We ask you leave Millicent in the same state of cleanliness you found her in on arrival, however after each use Millicent is professionally cleaned.

The below calendar allows you to request a mid-week or weekend stay at Millicent, our holiday home by the sea.
Simply select your chosen start date, enter your details and press the button !
Once submitted your request will be passed to a member of our staff who will send you a confirmation email using the details provided. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive this email although other reservation requests cannot be submitted for your chosen start date whilst this review is taking place.
When completing your request please enter the names of all additional guests that will be staying with you. This is to ensure that the correct guest passes are sent to you with your confirmation letter.
You are only required to select the start date of your stay. If successful with your request the caravan will be be reserved for you as follows
- Mid-Week Stay – From your chosen start date (4pm) and run through to Friday morning (10:30am) of the same week.
- Weekend Stay – From your chosen start date (4pm) and run through to Monday morning (10:30am) of the following week.
Please ignore any references to a one day duration you may see.
Getting There
Around 7 miles south of Lowestoft Kessingland Beach Holiday Park, offers a gorgeous beach and beautiful views on your doorstep. To make your journey to the park easier, we’ve outlined travel directions below for those traveling by car.

From West Suffolk
- If travelling from west Suffolk follow the A14, taking the slip road road exit for Bury St Edmunds Central (A134)
- Take the first exit at the roundabout following the A134. At the roundabout take the second exit for Diss, Great Barton A143
- At roundabout signposted Beccles/Lowestoft (A146) turn right, taking the second exit and follow the A146 to then take the B1127 exit for Wrentham
- At the T junction turn left for A12 Lowestoft, and at the roundabout take the second exit for Kessingland B1437. You will pass Africa Alive on your right as you continue to follow Church Road.
- Church Road merges into Beach Road and Kessingland Beach Holiday park is on your left.
South & East Suffolk
- Follow the A12 towards Lowestoft passing Blythburgh and Wrentham.
- At the roundabout take the second exit for Kessingland B1437. You will pass Africa Alive on your right as you continue to follow Church Road.
- Church Road merges into Beach Road and Kessingland Beach Holiday park is on your left.
