Thank you so much to the Ipswich Rotary Club who funded a great outdoor activity day for over 50 Young Carers aged 9- 15years this July.
The day was jam packed with activities for the participants to try; Abseiling, Archery, Crate stacking, Air Rifle target shooting and Axe throwing. Each activity was expertly and enthusiastically staffed by Scout Leaders who had generously given up their time to support the event.
Activities were paused over lunch time for a much needed BBQ organised by the Rotarians.
Young Carers staff on the day were supported by Leigh who has volunteered with the service for the past 6 years, plus we had additional support from 3 of our YC Peer Leaders.
Hallowtrees 2023 has already been booked for next year. Hope to see many of you there!
