The Family Carers Partnership Board (FCPB), is a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive co-production forum for family carers from across Suffolk, facilitating them to meet and be heard, helping influence and shape support, and holding system partners to account.
About the Family Carers Partnership Board
The Family Carers Partnership Board (FCPB), established in 2009, is a multi-agency group bringing together family carers and representatives from the statutory, charitable, community, and private organisations to strengthen working relationships between the partners. The Board is an equal partnership of organisations and family carers.
The role of the FCPB is to act as a critical friend. Its purpose is, strategically, to influence the development, planning and direction of services to improve the quality of the lives of carers and those they care for.
The Board provides strategic oversight of delivery of the All-Age Carers Strategy and Action Plan 2022-27.
The FCPB aims to
- Influence the planning of services and strategic developments for family carers
- Contribute to local, regional & national strategies
- Monitor inclusion and quality of access for all family carers
- Monitor, assess and give feedback on the value and effectiveness of services

Latest news from the Family Carers Partnership Board
Good progress is being made with delivery of the All Age Carers Strategy 2027-29. Action plan pillar leads are in place, who have identified quick wins for their pillar. Carers’ awareness by organising events in the community to address the early dentification of carers are continuing to be delivered.
Work is underway to recognise ‘Caring Companies’ for improved information and advice. Better links with health services to facilitate further awareness among young carers are being established. Community engagement events are helping to ensure that systems and services work and support all carers.
Finally, a carer focused working group has been established to address improved health and wellbeing.
