Feeling Thermometer

We understand the importance of children being able to communicate how they are feeling so they can get the support they need to manage their emotions. Young Carers in primary Schools have been enjoying our latest feelings workshops; where we wear our feelings and what different feelings feel like to each of us:

How do you know if you are sad?

What does your body do when you are sad?

What does feeling happy feel like? Is it in your head, your tummy…?

What is your favourite feeling?

It is very interesting for children to learn from each other that some feelings they have are the same and for others they can be very different experiences. This simple craft activity created lots of conversation and giggles as children designed their different emoji’s to go onto their Feelings thermometer.

‘This will really help me show how I feel’, said one Young carer who sometimes can’t find the words to tell someone how he feels so will use his thermometer as a visual aid.

Leaving so soon?

We hope you found what you were looking for, however,
if you didn’t we’d like to still offer you some support.
Please let us know how we can help.
