Step aside bakeries we have new star bakers in town! Check these out from our young carers who attended the Porch Project in the Easter holidays. It was lovely to introduce new and old faces to The Porch Project in Hadleigh and build on new and existing friendships!

Cookie Recipe – Why not try at home?
125g Butter
100g Light brown soft sugar
125g Caster sugar
1x egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
225g Self-Raising flour
½ tsp salt
200g Chocolate Chips / Sultanas
- Preheat oven to 180’c, gas mark 4
- Cream butter and sugars together
- Add the egg and vanilla extract
- Sift in the flour and salt
- Add the chocolate chips
- Add more flour at this point if necessary ! (It shouldn’t be too sticky)
- Roll into small dough balls and spread evenly on a lined baking tray
- Bake for 7 mins!
- Leave to cool & decorate
