We were invited to take a group of young carers to the National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket, to take part in a Discover Arts Award.
We spent the morning looking around the museum, and learning about Alfred Munnings, before eating a super yummy lunch provided by the museum’s bakery.
In the afternoon, the group was taught about proportions, and shown how to create a wire horse sculpture by local artist Ali Atkins. They all left the museum very proud of their own wire masterpiece!
One of the young carers said “I really like this place, this is my favourite place!”
