On Friday 10th July Cedars Park Primary School was awarded the Bronze Schools Award from Rachel at Suffolk Family Carers. Mrs Boyd the Young carer lead at the school has been working hard at arranging support for the young carers. The support on offer includes young carers groups, assemblies and young carers notice board. Alongside this the school have also implemented young carers into their policy.
Cedars Park Primary School have been working on bronze over the past year and has remained engaged and supportive of young carers throughout. Mrs Boyd is currently working towards the Silver award and is hoping to have achieved this by early next year.
