Following the success of the family carer drop-in and marketplace event held during Carers Week at the Buttermarket in Ipswich the Family Carer Partnership Board is pleased to announce the Carers Rights Day 2023 – Waveney Drop-in & Marketplace for family carers
The event will take place at the East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft on 23rd November between 10am and 3pm to give family carers in north Suffolk/ south Norfolk the opportunity to find out more about the services and support available to them. The event is supported by Suffolk County Council, local NHS partnerships, Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust and Suffolk Family Carers along with East Point Pavilion, who have kindly made this wonderful space available for the day.
As the event takes place on Carers Rights Day we aim to use it to;
- ensure family carers are aware of their rights
- let family carers know where and how to get help and support in the local area
- raise awareness of the needs of family carers
- Provide information advice and guidance to help family carers with immediate questions or concerns.
How you can help
To ensure family carers are able to access as much information as possible on the day your organisation is invited to participate by showcasing your services, explaining how you can support family carers in the Waveney area and provide information advice and guidance on the day. Attendance is FREE of charge

We expect demand to be high, but every effort will be made to accommodate everybody. We will confirm allocated space during the week ending 3rd November. Successful applicants will receive an allocated table within the pavilion to use on the day FREE of charge.
