Bury Club online
During lockdown we have been running our usual ‘Bury Club’ for young carers online using MS Teams. The Bury club online runs every two weeks on a Tuesday evening 6-7pm for 9-15 year olds. In previous sessions we have completed; Scavenger hunts, pebble painting, quizzes, and drawing. In our previous session the young people chose ‘Harry Potter’ for their themed evening and below is some of the young people’s creations.
Our Harry Potter ideas were; an option of creating a wand, potion or something out of Lego, please see below for details on how to make each one:
Wand decorating:
you will need: a Stick, paint/felt tips,
optional; Glitter, Glue, Ribbon, String, playdough
Lego Making:
you will need: Lego, a chosen Harry Potter theme to create i.e. the flying car, Feast scene, Quidditch, or even Hogwarts!
Harry Potter potions:
you will need: an old jar with a lid, water, paper
optional; Glitter, leaves, shells, pebbles, feather,
flowers, food colouring, tissue paper, sequins, beads
Take a look at Annabelle’s potion she made called ‘Frogs formula for headaches’ using Washing up Liquid, glitter, food colouring, bicarbonate of soda and Lemon Juice!
