These day passes can be reserved for FREE by any registered family carer, with each providing free entry to Melford Hall for 2 adults and up to 6 children – adults are those aged over 18. Children are aged 5-17. Under 5s are free. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
About Melford Hall
It’s fair to say that Melford Hall has had its share of trials and tribulations, but it’s thanks to many generations from medieval monks to the Hyde Parker family who still live here, that this home still stands.
Around every corner there’s a new twist in the story – from Beatrix Potter sketches to collections of naval paintings and Chinese porcelain – everything tells a story and everyone has left their mark.
Devastated by fire in 1942, it was nurtured back to life by the Hyde Parker family and it remains their much loved family home to this day. It is their stories of family life at Melford – from visits by their cousin Beatrix Potter through to our visitors today that make this house more than bricks and mortar.
Reserving our passes
Our passes are available FREE to all registered family carers. The pass covers standard admission but does not include any paid events
Please check opening hours before making your request as these may vary depending on season and events taking place at Melford Hall
Once we have received your request to reserve one of our passes for a day it will be reviewed by one of our staff who will then send you a confirmation email, along with further details on how to use the pass. Your request has not been approved until you have received this confirmation email. Other reservation requests cannot be submitted for your chosen date whilst this review is taking place. When completing your request please enter the names of all additional guests that will be visiting with you. This is to ensure that the correct guest passes are available for you.
Please note that due to demand for these passes we are not able to accept multiple requests to use within the same year. If you are unable to attend please ensure you cancel your visit using the link provided when making your reservation request. This is to ensure the pass is made available for other family carers to use, and also avoid disappointment when attempting to rebook.
