Trustees’ Week, this year taking place between 3rd & 7th November 2025 is a time to celebrate the incredible people who help make Suffolk Family Carers the compassionate, forward-thinking organisation it is today. Our Trustees are the key to of our charity—volunteers who bring their time, expertise, and lived experience to ensure we continue to support over 65,000 unpaid carers across Suffolk.
Many of them are, or have been carers themselves, and their insight helps us stay grounded in the realities faced by families across the county. From strategic planning to safeguarding oversight, they guide our work with empathy, integrity, and purpose.
Through their commitment and expertise, they help us shape our long-term vision and strategy and ensure our services are inclusive and impactful
Our Trustee Board exemplifies the five traits of outstanding trustees:
- Challenge with purpose
- Listen with empathy
- Collaborate as a team
- Bring expert knowledge
- Exercise sound judgement
