World Autism Acceptance Week
World Autism Acceptance week is taking place 27th – 3rd April this year with a theme of colour.
Our ND project team have organised a series of events and activities for that week to help raise awareness and acceptance to Autism around the county.

ND and Me Podcast
ND and Me is a podcast created by Scott, Youth Peer Worker in the ND team. For Autism Acceptance Week Scott has interviewed a range of individuals about their lived experience of autism.
- Scott shares his own personal journey of living with autism and explores his special interests
- Monica shares her experience of receiving an autism diagnosis whilst at University
- William and Ralph share their experience of school as an autistic young person
- Melanie shares her experience of caring for her neurodiverse family
- Terence, a peer mentor, shares how his lived experience of autism helps him to support others
