On Saturday 25th September we had an amazing day taking 12 young people to NorCon in Norwich: NORCON | The Norfolk TV, Film and Comic Con 25th & 26th September 2021 (nor-con.co.uk). NorCon was an activity requested by our Draw with Me members (DWM), who had planned this outing during lockdown. The day invited our members to embrace their passions in Anime, gaming, Marvel, DC, Harry Potter and lots more! We had an awesome day meeting cosplay characters, famous actors and actresses, and even took selfies with famous props and replicas.
For 5 out of 12 young carers this was either their first time on a train or travelling independently. Nearly all young carers made new friends and said the activity enabled their confidence to increase.
