During Half Term week on 22nd October, 15 Young Carers enjoyed an afternoon at Old Joe’s activity park in Sudbury. We braved the autumnal frost and had a kick about on the Foot Golf course which was soon followed by delicious hot dogs, kindly prepared by Quinton’s Café.
The Young Carers enjoyed Halloween crafts including; ‘pin the wart on the witches nose’, pass the parcel, pumpkin carving and we even snuck in a cheeky Dj Caspers slide at the end!
All who attended embraced the Halloween theme with some dressing up as their favourite Halloween icons! Staff also dressed up as zombies (although we couldn’t tell if this was their natural mid half term look!)
We’d like to thank Vanessa at Old Joe’s Activity park for the Foot Golf fun and to Quinton’s Café who kindly accommodated us. The venue, facilities and food combined meant our Young Carers were able to have the freedom and fun they had longed for after a tiring term back at school.
We hope to see all who attended at the Sudbury Club on the second Thursday of November.
