DESCRIPTION:Join our new regular peer support group for adult family carers. \n\n\n\nThis is a warm\, friendly and welcoming group\, there is no expectation to share details of your caring role\, if you prefer not to. So\, if you are a family carer and want to meet others who may be in a similar caring role\, then why not come along? \n\n\n\nTea\, coffee and cold drinks will be provided. \n\n\n\nThis is open to all family carers over 18\, who care for an adult. The group will be led by a Suffolk Family Carer volunteer and if you should have a question that cannot be answered then we will be able to get a Family Carer adviser to call you back. \n\n\n\nIt would be helpful for us to know if you are able to make it\, so if possible please let us know using the link below. Although if you’d rather decide on the day and just pop in\, that is absolutely fine. We just hope to see you there!  \n\n\n\n\nLet us know you can make it

SUMMARY:Adult First Aid for Family Carers
DESCRIPTION:Helping family carers feel more able\, willing\, and confident to provide first aid in everyday situations. \n\n\n\nDid you know 85% of adults would not know what to do if someone collapsed and was not breathing? Let’s reduce that number and give you the skills and confidence to help in a first aid emergency. During the workshop\, participants will have the opportunity to practice hands-on techniques for administering CPR\, understanding how and when to use AEDs and also how to help someone that is unresponsive\, but breathing.The instructor\, Capricia (Community Education Co-Ordinator\, Red Cross) will provide step-by-step guidance on how to assess a situation\, prioritise care\, and effectively communicate with emergency services.By the end of the workshop\, attendees will feel more confident in their ability to respond to medical emergencies and provide crucial assistance until professional help arrives. \n\n\n\nPlease note that this is not a certification\, it is purely knowledge and confidence building workshop should there be a first aid emergency for your cared for or your family. \n\n\n\n\nBOOK YOUR PLACE HERE
