DESCRIPTION:This 4 week programme is designed for parent carers of autistic children and young people\n\n\nWe are pleased to offer Time Out for ASD which is a 4 week programme for parent carers of autistic children and young people.  \nThis programme has been created to give parent carers the opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life for a few hours each week\, connect with others who understand\, and explore autism through a positive\, neuroaffirming lens. Whether your child has recently received a diagnosis\, is awaiting assessment\, or has been diagnosed for some time\,  \nTime Out for ASD offers a supportive space to learn\, reflect and share experiences with other families. We know there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to supporting autistic children and young people.  \nEvery child is unique\, with their own strengths\, interests\, needs and ways of experiencing the world. Rather than focusing on changing autistic children\, this programme explores how we can better understand and support them while building confidence within ourselves as parent carers. Across four weekly sessions we will explore: \n\nUnderstanding autism beyond the stereotypes and recognising the diversity of autistic experiences. \nSensory differences and the impact they can have on everyday life\, emotions and wellbeing. \nCommunication\, connection and developing positive relationships. \nUnderstanding anxiety\, overwhelm and emotional regulation. \nSupporting strengths\, interests\, confidence and independence. \nPractical approaches that can reduce stress and support family wellbeing. \nLooking after your own wellbeing and resilience as a parent carer. \nBuilding connections with other families and learning from shared experiences. \n\nThe programme combines information\, discussion and peer support in a relaxed and friendly environment. There is no expectation to speak\, share personal experiences or participate in any particular way. Some people come to learn\, others come to connect with others\, and many come for both. \n All ways of participating are welcome. Alongside practical knowledge and strategies\, Time Out for ASD offers something equally important: the opportunity to meet other parent carers who genuinely understand the highs\, lows and everyday realities of family life.  \nMany parents tell us that the greatest value comes from realising they are not alone. \n\n\n\n\n\nBook Your Place Now

DESCRIPTION:Join our Meditation & Relaxation session for calm\, better sleep\, focus and wellbeing. No experience needed! \nDo you need time to relax\, let go and just be? \nWhen we take time out for ourselves the benefits we gain can include reduced anxiety\, better sleep\, improved concentration and a general feeling of wellbeing. \nThe Meditation and Relaxation group will be run by our volunteer Eileen and will provide a quiet space where you can be still\, let go of everything and just be. \nMeditation is simple\, no previous knowledge or experience is needed and no special equipment. We sit on chairs and\, where possible\, lie on a mat for the relaxation part. You will be gently guided through the session. \nThere will also be a Suffolk Family Carer – Mental Health and Wellbeing team in attendance.  \n______________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nThe workshop is available FREE to our registered family carers over eighteen. DESCRIPTION:Come along to this weekly support group at Ipswich County Library for anyone experiencing dementia\, including family and carers. The sessions are designed to open up discussions about dementia and we offer activities for people who come along as well as guest speakers who can provide advice and information on a range of topics. \n\n\n\nThere is no need to register or be referred\, you can attend the sessions as often or as little as you like. There’s no obligation to get involved in discussions until you feel comfortable doing so and there’s always a hot drink and a listening ear waiting for you.

DESCRIPTION:Join Lucy for a gentle\, relaxing complementary therapy of Reiki. \n\n\nReiki is a gentle\, relaxing complementary therapy. During a treatment\, you remain fully clothed and can simply settle in and take some time for yourself. The practioner usually uses gentle hand placements on the head\, neck and feet\, while in other areas my hands are held just above or to the sides of the body. If you would prefer a treatment without physical contact\, that is absolutely fine too. She likes to create a soothing atmosphere with gentle background music\, helping you to feel comfortable and at ease. There is nothing you need to do and no previous experience is needed. \n\n\n\nEveryone experiences Reiki differently. You may simply enjoy a feeling of relaxation\, while some people notice warmth\, a gentle tingling sensation or a feeling of being very peaceful. There is no right or wrong way to experience a treatment. \n\n\n\nCome with an open mind and see where the therapy takes you. \n\n\n\nThis is a private session and will last 40 minutes\, please only book 1 session to allow others to experience Reiki. \n\n\n\nAvailable times are 10.00am-10.40am\, 11.00am-11.40am\, 12.30pm-1.10pm and 1.30pm-2.10pm. \n\n\n\n\nBOOK YOUR SESSION HERE
