Understanding Trauma & Secondary Trauma and its effects

January 20 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Funded by Carers Trust, a new programme of support for family carers including workshops and peer support and information sessions

Trauma may cause flash backs, sleep disturbance, nightmares, anger, anxiety and depression to name a few of the symptoms. If you are living with the effects of trauma or supporting someone affected, it may be that you are experiencing secondary trauma and you want to learn how to help them and yourself, it maybe that you are unaware as to how you have the symptoms of trauma or when it all started, if so, then this programme is designed for you.

The programme includes a workshop delivered by Cliff Emmerson (PTSD Resolutions) and the opportunity to meet together as a group following this session to form peer support and access other helpful information. These three peer support sessions are designed to assist you to decide how you would like to continue to meet and share support after the period of this programme.
