Suffolk Family Carers

Carers Voice

As the strategic partner to Suffolk County Council for family carers, one of our key values is that we are family carer focused. This means we listen and respond to family carers needs.

As a family carer you will have a wealth of experience, ideas and views that you might want to share. This can range from essential input into care planning for the person you care for through to feeding back your experiences to help shape the design and delivery of services on a much wider scale.

At Suffolk Family Carers we are really keen to hear your feedback. In fact the whole concept of the organisation was developed 30 years ago based on listening to family carers needs and the ideas and experiences that you have shared with us along the way.

Over a decade ago we launched a project called Carers Voice, giving those family carers who wanted to ‘have their say’ a platform to do so. Feedback was then gathered and presented back to commissioners and service managers across the health and social care system on a local and national level.  Modern technology has now evolved to such an extent that we can widen this offer with more opportunities for you to ‘get involved and have your say’ on the services that Suffolk Family Carers provide and those out in the wider community.

Listed on this page are some of the opportunities for you to be involved with us. We love to hear from you and take every opportunity to ensure family carers voices are heard.  We are often asked to attend meetings to represent the needs of family carers collectively and we can only do this if you keep sharing your ideas, experiences and views with us.
